Hi, I’m Steffan, a designer and game developer based in the UK. I’ve worked in the game industry since 2014 when I joined the indie game studio State of Play where I worked on four award-winning games. In 2018 I established Idle Friday to develop my own game Automatoys which I published in 2022 and went on to be an Apple Design Award finalist in 2023.

I’m foremost a designer, but also technically minded. I can prototype ideas, build tools when needed, and work directly in-engine to keep concepts practical and achievable. I take a holistic view of development, from the earliest concept through to release, always balancing creativity with clear priorities.

Alongside this, I also take on freelance projects and I’m always open to collaborating on interesting new work.
